Where: Route de Ngor, across from the stadium.

Annapurna comes highly recommended on both TripAdvisor and DakarEats for its truly authentic Indian Cuisine. Its located on the Ngor road upstairs in a very hidden away upstairs section (the door is closed most of the time, so it looks closed…) but in a pleasant, yet kooky atmosphere featuring fans blowing and a TV showing classic Bollywood films 24/7.  Their Samosas are to DIE for, and they also deliver. Restaurants: La Table des Goreennes (Saly/Mbour)

This was easily the best restaurant we’ve been to in Senegal. The ambience was excellent and the hosts were very nice. The service was also excellent.  The fish raviolis were incredible, and the crab farci was awesome as well. We had a three course meal, appetizers, main course and dessert, along with a half a bottle of wine and cocktails, and the price was under $60, you simply cannot find value like that at any other location in the Senegal. But quite frankly we would have happily spent  $100 for that dinner, because it was simply that good.

It’s important to make reservations because it fills up quite quickly. Although the hosts were very nice and made room for us that night, I can see how reservations are needed.

There are also apparently rooms for rent, but we did not stay at them. However, I expect they’re very nice judging by the quality of the restaurant. We have also visited the other top rated restaurants in Saly, and this one is simply a step above every other one. We cannot wait to come back and will recommend it highly to all of our friends.
